Extension SeriesEX1 - EX2
Perhaps the strangest of all official D&D modules. Both were written by Gary Gygax, and draw heavily on Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland novels (EX1 from Alice in Wonderland, EX2 from Through the Looking Glass). Each was designed as a "tack-on" adventure to an existing campaign; i.e., the characters could "fall down a hole" and be transported to one of these fantastic lands. Interestingly, the cover artwork for these modules was inadvertently switched: the cover of EX1 shows the encounter with the Roc from pg 12 of EX2, and the cover of EX2 shows the encounter with the Hangman Trees from pg 8 of EX1! Thanks to Jon Wilson for pointing this out.
Module codes GC1 and GC2 were originally earmarked for these modules (presumably "Greyhawk Castle"?), but were dropped for unknown reasons. Thanks to Ian Malcomson for this info.
EX1 Dungeonland
First: No cardboard header.
Second: Contents identical to First, but has a cardboard header glued to the top of the module, with the D&D logo and some other advertising. EX2 Land Beyond the Magic Mirror

The First printings of these modules are quite common. The Second printings, with the headers intact, are very rare; SW condition assumes the header is present.
