Hi everyone,

I picked up this set in a basic set a while ago. I *think* its a 1977 set (but maybe the 1979 set??) ... It is missing the illustrated cover and there's about a dozen sheets left. If people can help: (a) which version? and (b) without the cover should I bother to keep it, or hold out for a copy with the cover?

Without the cover, it might be difficult to determine.

Regardless, they are valuable.  I'd keep them, but keep up the hunt for a complete one, or at least a partial one with the matching color cover sheet.

Thanks man. I wondered if someone who had seen multiple variations might have noticed a difference in the sheets themselves - but I am happy with them either way, They look really old school :)

Those are the 79 sheets.
The 77 sheets have a *tm applied for note at the bottom.

Its probably worth noting that the pad I have is side-tearing. The  description of these here says that only one before like that has recently been spotted (i.e. that almost all are top-tearing). My copy was in a Holmes box set in the UK. So there are probably more side-tearing 1979 character sheet pads out there.

I have a 1979 (3rd Printing) that is side tearing.  Purchased from a person in Germany around 1998.  Interesting that yours was in a UK Holmes set.  Maybe international ones were printed that way?

I have a front and back here... Apologies but it is way easier (for me) to link to Google drive for images...
