Hello everyone,

I have a D&D Companion Rules box set and I’m trying to determine which “printing/print run” it comes from.

There’s a white sticker partly over the product code that was originally printed on the bottom half of the box which includes “$13.50” on it.  And since that’s the price associated with the second printing of the Companion Rules set, I’m wondering if that means this box was part of the original first print run (with a price of $12.00) that was subsequently stickered over to bring it in line with the second print run?

Also, how do I upload a photo of this onto here from my iPad??

Cheers,
JohnH aka Wandering Monster

Yep, it's a first print with a price update sticker. Along the same lines, I have a second print with a $15 update sticker.

Great — thanks for the info!   :D

So when I go to sell this, I should call it a second printing?

I'd say no to that. I'd call it something like 1st print with 2nd print price change sticker. Not sure the books changed in any of the printings, but the boxes I know of so far are the 1st, 1st w sticker, 2nd, 2nd with 3rd print price sticker, 3rd (with code on outside of bottom lid (1013xxx9401), 4th, 5th (A 4th print with 10-88 printed on inside bottom).
Do not remove the sticker as not many seem to have it.

Went down a rabbit hole with this.
1984 12.00 (set 3 1st)
1985 13.50 (set 3 2nd)(Set 4 1st)
1986 15.00 (Set 3 3rd)(Set 4 2nd)(set 5 1st) All these have product numberXXX9401 bottom lid outside on the side and product numberXXX9402 top lid inside on the side
1987 15.00 (Set 3 4th)
1988 15.00 (Set 3 5th) with 10-88 inside bottom lid

Dates are not set in stone, but a guess with the information I've gathered looking into this quickly.
