This is a bit off-topic, but I value the opinion of the residentl mini experts and hope someone can help... I saw this cover on-line, but have never seen the actual item for sale... does it exist? have you ever seen it come round ebay or elsewhere? what can I expect to pay? It looks awesome, I'd love to paint it up & get it on the gaming table

Hi David,

I just picked one up a little over a month ago on eBay:

I've seen these go anywhere from $50 to $100. I didn't think twice about dropping $50 on mine (it was a BIN) because it was complete (they are often missing some of the bits and bobs - usually the goblins and their gear), came with the instructions, and the box was in nice shape.

It is HEAVY - around 3.5 pounds - and looks like it will take a combination of pinning and greenstuff to assemble it and make it look good before painting.

Like you, I think it's a cool model and I'm glad I could finally (and affordably) add one to my collection!

Forgot to mention that if you need one right away and budget is not an option, they are available through Mirliton in Italy for 64 Euros, give or take:

Mirliton also makes Garloch, known as the Battle Giant in Grenadier packaging:

He's another HUGE giant that I'm also looking for. I've seen it all over the place price-wise, from around $35 to $90ish. I'll hold out for one in Grenadier packaging.

Mirliton has the rights to most (if not all) of the old Fantasy Warriors line if you're a fan of those old Grenadier minis.

I guess the recasts have driven down the price. These sets used to go for $500 about 10 years ago. The Grenadier boxes are pretty rare to come by.

$500!?! Wow, I'm glad the prices have come down. I just picked up the Battle Giant for $21, so now I have both of the big bad boys and their Grenadier boxes:
