Wow, that does look like a good lot of at least play copies.  Some might be in a little better condition than that.

Bill Barsh recently sold this JG August 1978 catalog:

Going through some older stuff as I set up the new office and here is nice little find. Not sure of the date. It is a 16-page, newspaper format catalog from Judges Guild. But it has way more than just JG stuff inside. Tons of miniatures, TSR, FGU, Zocchi, Garrison Miniatures (who I am not familiar), and many more. Its basically a catalog of everything available in the hobby circa that date. I am guessing 77-79ish.

Anyway, probably going up for auction as I don't really have that much connection to this particular catalog. But a really cool snapshot into the time. Oh, there is an article by Bob B. (Sr.) about how to create and run a D&D campaign.

Jon Hershberger and I were chatting about the “What is a Fantasy Campaign” article, and wondered if it might have been republished later in the JG Journal or Pegasus, perhaps?

I don't know if it was republished later, but I assume it is the same article that appeared in the earlier, 1977 Judges Guild catalog.
