i was just wondering if there were any companies publishing new adventures using the classis d&d/ad&d rules. anyone know of any?

i've ordered Tower of Blood and Bottle City, but are these d&d rules, or are they Castles & Crusades?

Both Tower of Blood, The Original Living Room, and The Original Bottle City are written to be compatible with the first edition rules we know and love, via the OGL.

You may also want to check out various OSRIC publishers @ http://www.knights-n-knaves.com/phpbb/v ... php?t=2257 OSRIC itself, which is an OGL-based restatement of first edition, is detailed @ http://www.knights-n-knaves.com/osric/

Good timing. A thread was just started on Dragonsfoot, gathering up all of the in-print 1E/OSRIC releases:

(OSRIC releases should be fully compatible with 1st Edition AD&D)

Thanks for the link Zhowar. I collect free online modules in PDF and ZIP files. I have quite a collection.

Don't forget Pied Piper's Cairn of the Skeleton King. With a limited run of 500 (still available from PPP and Noble Knight Games), and Runic copies selling for over $100, if you haven't got a copy yet, you want to buy one before they sell out.

After that, if PPP don't republish, the prices are going to rise rapidly.

And dont forget.....

Ben Burns and Kent Krumvieda's works.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

after reading this thread i went back and made several more purchases from Pied Piper. i'm looking forward to seeing their products.

I know this might sound off topic, but if you don't have the first 17 issues of Dungeon magazine, you might check those out. Everything up to then was 1st edition or basic D&D, lots of gems there. I used to always pull a module or two out of those issues for a "First edition Feel" and convert it to 2nd ed for my group. I know technically these aren't "new adventures" but if you are looking for 1st edition to run that your group hasn't heard of or doesn't have access to I can recommend these.

i've got most of the dungeon magazines between 1 and 60. played a few adventures out of those. i've actually been looking for new material for a group. me and some friends found a small town in virginia (population 6,303) that's about a 5 hour drive for all of us, so started playing again. it's once every other month. six people, three of us rotating DM. problem is, one of the other DMs is like me, and has just about everything, so i'm looking for something new when it's my turn. just to keep him guessing ;) we're playing 2nd Edition rules, but i find it easier to covert from old d&d than from 3rd edition.

Well, Deadlord has a copy of Lair of Medusa on eBay. And there;s always the classic UK products from the time, like Tortured Souls!, GameMasters Publications stuff and the Complete Dungeon Master Series.

I have a set of the Black Ridge Island modules by Ben Burns...I even got Ben and the artist to sign all three of them. He got a kick out of that.
