No, it's not.  They usually sell for between $15-$50, depending on the condition, of course.

I just asked the seller about it and they refused to show me a picture of the item without the crappy binder it is now in. My guess is the pages were cut from the original. This item is probably not worth 9.99, let alone 149.99.

That makes sense, but it's hard to tell these days when when dramatic inflation happens. Nevertheless, the auction has a lot of photos which show more than I've seen previously of this edition. The back cover is interesting for the fact that it includes Dragon Tales (all art, by Mel Laybourn) in the product listings. I've never been able to find a copy of Dragon Tales (Chaosium 1977) -does anyone have it?

It's in a 3-ring binder and it was hole-punched. At least one of my copies is. I always figured it was factory because the holes didn't interfere or obscure any of the print.

But I'm not an expert like so many in here.

IIRC it was bound along the left edge, no staples. Just that thick black tapelike stuff.

If you hit a Rowsdower, you get to keep it.

Who are the authors, publisher?
Publication date?
I’m assuming it is published somewhere in England at the moment?
I hope this one ended up with someone on the forum. I missed the end of the auction, but I don’t think I’d have bid that high anyhoo, so it would never have ended up with me.
Still, would be nice to have a bit of info for posterity and all that.

Fugitive Games, published in 1986. 40pp not including the covers. Module tested using the Worldshaker system (published by Fugitive Games) but could be used for any system.

Fugitive Games produced a free RPG magazine given away in shops in the 1980s, here's an issue for sale:

This stand-alone scenario was therefore probably free (there's no cover price). It's certainly got no connection to Tortured Souls (as the ebay listing claimed).

It's very odd stylistically, in particular the only statistics in it are skill checks given with cryptic names - e.g CONV:ULT means a conversation check, difficulty ultimate. There's no combat stats given for the fights, so perhaps you don't need any for the worldshaker system. Infact it has pre-gen characters with 1 page description for each but next to no stats, e.g. simply "WIZARD:MAJOR, SUMMONER:ULTIMATE (dealing with demons), CHOLAR:MAJOR" - so worldshaker appears to be something like a modern 1-page light RPG. It's only "could be used for any system" (as per the ebay listing) in the sense that any scenario could be. It actually says on the first page that not having the worldshaker system makes it difficult to run the scenario.

The main interest in the item is that it's not really like any other module I've seen from the period.

Keep looking and you will find one much cheaper. That is an insane price.

I can't believe to this BIN:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

This means that removing the NK multiplier, this module is going for less than 20 bucks... how is it possible?!? Ten years ago in a normal auction it used to end even more that the current BIN!

This auction in Sold makes some interesting claims about print differences for Dark Dungeons. I'll need to check my copy to see which one I have.
