Hi guys , I will soon be posting 3 mods for sale, they are fairly rare and in nice really condition for their 32 years. I want to ensure that my buyer(s) get them in best possible condition. I have source archival sleeves and backing boards , need advice on how to pack for postage

*nods* A nice big box and plenty lightweight padding all round with oversized corrugated card sandwiching those would be a good idea, IMO.
Why most sellers cannot understand the merits of a few dollars more in packing material and shipping costs, rather than sending in flat packages is beyond me... Fire and forget once the auction's over, eh?

Thanks & agreed. Even if insurance covers damage ("in theory"), having to jump through the hoops is a pain as is knowing that damage cannot be undone to rare items.

Checking Australia Post's website, if the weights fall reasonably into those stated bands that would probably be an extra US$5.50 to the States for boxed vs. flat. Well worth the percentage point or thereabouts.
(Packing as if sending flat with extra reinforcement and then just "floating" that package in a box usually works well: good-condition recycled boxes are fine for most postal services).
