So I checked this book out of the local library,  :study:

and I thought I'd share this with all of you who have given L4 such a hard time ... in honor of all the spelling challenges it faced.  :)

I don't understand the significance, Spock. It says "Jacket printed in U.S.A.".

Yep, "Jacket printed in USA" seems fine to me too.  But the title of your thread isn't quite right :)

Not sure about the posts above. Can't tell whether they are posted in jest or not.

Either way, for those who missed it, the title is in reference to the spelling error; Alarms and Excursions printed on the flyleaf as opposed to Alarums and Excursions. The passage is pretty poor gramatically, but not outwith what could be considered 'editorial license'.

And on that note, I just discovered there is a difference in the spelling of licence (the noun) vs. license (the verb). I didn't know that.


This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

At first I thought misterspock was referring to the bit about the "drama in the process of creation", as there's certainly been a lot of "drama" surrounding the release of L4.

I'm highly impressed that a library still has this book in circulation!
