I finally got a package I've been waiting to receive for a month!  At last, my research is complete... I think.

The story:

I was trolling through Tome Of Treasures several months ago and saw this post:

http://www.tomeoftreasures.com/forum/vi ... php?t=4625

So, DL16 has two printings, differentiated by the TSR UK address on the back cover, The Mill, Rathmore Road vs. 120 Church End (Mill and Church hereafter).  Because those copies are shrinkwrapped, the owner wouldn't know what I'd come to find out - checking the address on the first page of the loose booklet or squarebound module is important at times too.

Taking a look at the copy I had, I noticed it was a Church.  I must find a first printing!  Amusingly, that was the one I got just today, finally filling in my collection.

If there was one of these, it seemed reasonable that there could be others.  So the next step was to find a chronological list.  That search led me to Echohawk's Monster Index (http://ant.hivemind.net/monsters.html).  As a by-product of researching monsters, a product index was created.  Exactly what I needed!  While the author has admitted that the dates are imperfect, they seemed to be pretty good for the era that I needed to focus on.

TSR UK appears to have moved late in 1988 or early in 1989.  (If someone knows the exact date, I'd be interested to know).  I focused on modules from around then, and then worked my way outward.

This is what I've turned up...

Dungeon Master's Design Kit
1st - Mill on back cover, Mill on booklet
2nd - Church on back cover, Church on booklet

DL16 World Of Krynn
1st - Mill on back cover, Church on first page
2nd - Church on back cover, Church on first page

    I haven't found a Mill/Mill yet - anyone have one?

FR1 Waterdeep And The North
1st - Mill on back cover, Mill on booklet, Angled logo
2nd - Church on back cover, Mill on booklet, Angled logo
3rd - Church on back cover, Church on booklet, Gold logo

I don't have a 3rd in my possession, but we have a picture at http://www.acaeum.com/ddindexes/modpages/fr.html and I'm making an educated guess of it being Church/Church.  Can anyone confirm?  It's possible my 2nd could be a frankenstein and that should actually be a Church/Church too.

FR6 Dreams Of The Red Wizards
1st - Mill on back cover, Church on booklet
2nd - Church on back cover, Church on booklet

    I haven't found a Mill/Mill yet - anyone have one?

FR7 Hall Of Heroes
This one isn't a discovery, it's a challenge.  We have three printings listed on the FR page.  I don't think the first printing exists; I don't think there is a Mill version of this book.  It seems to have been printed a few months too late for that to fit with the rest of my research, so unless someone can confirm that they have this, I'll suggest there is an error with our listing.

FRC1 Ruins Of Adventure
1st - Mill on back cover, Mill on first page
2nd - Church on back cover, Church on first page

Are there any more out there?  Maybe.  The two most likely are REF5 and GAZ9.  I'm pretty sure REF5 is Church/Church only, and that there is no Mill version, but I'm not sure.

Really, most of the GAZ series should be checked, but I don't collect them, so someone else would have to carry the baton on that.

Thanks to Echohawk, for both his list and his willingness to discuss some of this craziness back in July.  Also to cgould42 at ToT, who certainly should get credit as the discoverer for the DL16 variation.

EDIT 1: I should have mentioned pictures.  I haven't taken any, but if anyone needs proof, I certainly can do so.

EDIT 2: Fixed an error in my notes for FR1.
