I'd thought that once-upon-a-time those bore some relation to the username but nowadays at least they seem to be pretty much meaningless.

The best way to discover a username is to trawl for feedback in the "most likely places" but translating that to an actual person ain't always so easily done.

Hmmm. Doesn't that belong to someone on Acaeum? I'm sure I've coma accross that one before.

Actually, there are quite a few of them lately.
And yes, I Thought it was a member here too, was just unsure which member.
(I have a few suspects :) )

It has just been a bit frustrating as we often seem to bid on the same items, and so we are butting heads a lot.
And in those common interest listings, he (or she) has more staying ability than I do most of the time.
It does not matter much for me whether I find out who it is (just curious is all) and for everyone else not a bit.
Whoever you are, sorry I have been bidding up your wins so much of late.
I am NOT a shiller though, just another bloody nosed bidder. 8)

Yep, Agree.
Fairly sure that it is a First Print, Fourth Release (no printing on reverse of Cover Sheet).
No, I dont have it yet, just from what the seller told me, though seller didnt mention the Fourth Release part in the listing.
Seller omitted the Fourth Release part from my note, perhaps thinking First Print alone might look more attractive to bidders.

You can do an advanced search on your own Ebay userid and by putting a check in the "include completed listings" box it will pull up all of the auctions you have bid on over the last 30 days, including the ones you didnt win (this obviously wont work for other userid's).  You should easily be able to figure out who i***m (644) is as long as you know which of the auctions he/she won.

View several auctions you won or bid in, without being logged in:  that should show you what the secret ID, as well as if it's consistent from auction to auction.
