I picked up a lot of 10 1st and 2nd edition books on ebay for .99 (shipping was high and feedback or the seller was low = win for me).  Two of the books are warped (as described in auction info), one of them isn't so bad and I can probably fix it wth some weights and time (or just sell it for .99), the other is a crazy S curve warp (I'll post pictures later if anyone is interested).

Has anyone figured out a way to fix something like that or would this make for a good reason to try out my book binding skills (as seen on Dragonsfoot, lol)?

Is the warping only along one plane, or is it some three-dimensional warping? *headscratch*

Sounds bad, especially if the United Nations caused it. ;)

I use a stack of ten 3.5 Core Rulebooks to flatten books that have slight warping.  Maybe you could try steam-ironing to humidify the covers prior to the weight-treatment.

A night under a heavy stack of books has helped a little bit.  I might try the iron idea, I hadn't thought of that.

Yeah... after all, those 3rd Edition books are good for something!

You probably want do a bit extra than just laying flat books on top.  It would probably be better if you put something on top of the curve to promote pushing it back in.

That's a bit curvy, but it's only along one axis.  Or plane.  Or whatever I was blathering about.

Whatever you try, leave it pressed under the weights for at least a week.

I wouldn't try using a steam iron until pressure alone stopped working.  Heck, try manual bending and rolling the book with your hands first.
