Hey Brian:

Are those pictures of one group playing Swords and Wizardry around a small, round table?

I see one photo where Badmike is looking over their shoulders.

I ask because I just downloaded a free copy of this game on Lulu...because it was free and because I thought the cover art was awesome.

Those look like hardcopy versions on the table. Am I seeing right?

I don't know if that group was playing Swords & Wizardry, but those are hardcopies of the rulebook. Softcovers were available at the NTRPGCon. I forget the price, but it was reasonable.

The only negative about the hardcopy is that the spine is white with black lettering. I would have liked the spine to be black with white lettering to match the dark covers. Yeah, that's a stupid nitpick. I can easily see the white spine on my bookshelf, so that's a positive.

Matt Finch (Mythmere), the author, had a few copies he sold. He also had copies of his module "Spire of Iron and Crystal", which I heartily recommend.

That would be BILL!!!!

I posted some other pics of that group - I am in there

Matt Fynch ran the game and he had few softcover copies of the rules and module available. I purchased both

The art is great! I just enjoyed the clean easy rules...but I am a simpleton afterall....

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

Dennis Sustare in a WTF moment during the Swords & Sorcery game run by Matt Fynch. (great game).

Pictured from left: Sustare, bbarsh, badmike, grodog (back), Dr. somebodyoranother (I can't remember his name). And way in the background is Tim Kask running his game. Also, note the way cool low impact dice on the table (

) I couldn't resist....

The green dice are high impacts - I have the same set in couple colors. Probably from the Armory.

The low impacts I brought were from my original purchase 2nd print Holmes set. Although the pink one was secondary purchase sometime around the same time period. I think it was $2.50 for a white and pink 20-sider - or otherwise known as percentile dice.
I have about 10 complete sets of low impacts, but I keep these separate for that special occassion...

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

I have no idea what the difference is between high & low impact, but I have a set of those dice in the middle of the table (white, blue, green etc) but without the pink one!

Are they rare then??

They look like Gamescience (super hi-impakt)... or possibly DiamondDice (also "low-impact") I see a pair of the 8-sided d4s that Zochhi used to distribute... those are the red ones.

I have a friend that has several low-impact dice that are nearly round from all the use over the years. The edges will eventually chip away and become more smooth from all of the impacts on hard surfaces. As for rarity....I have no clue. Although I never owned a set until I purchased them a couple of years ago at Gen Con.
