I ran across your items listed, and I was just curious about this one

You mentioned Tim Jiardini, but it has a note on it that says Rob Kuntz?

Looks like Tim's signature on the auction certificate from Paul. I'm guessing it was Kuntz's Dragon, but ended up in Tim's collection.

Is that better or worse than Pete's Dragon ending up in Brad's Endless Dungeon?

(Nice to have, perhaps, but provenance has limits to boosting value?)

That's actually my own goofball mistake, that white sheet of paper is my own chicken scratch, not Paul's. :oops:

I am figuring that when I stored it away after winning it, that I for some reason thought it was purchased from a RJK Collector's Trove auction, not the Tim Jiardini one. The Certificate of Authenticity has Paul's and Tim's name on it, not Rob's.

Hope that helps clear it up.

Speaking of Tim Jiardini's stuff, with the passage of time, has anyone figured out WHY anyone bought it, or paid high prices for it, with the exception of the "1st ever sold" PHB signed by EGG? I remember at the time thinking that exuberance of some of the bids was a little unjustified...... :wink:

The ones I have listed were all low sales prices, otherwise I would not have them.
Nothing really special about the items Except the SWed... B3 French, which is the one I paid the second most for then.

So, was the PHB true first print only sold at GenCon in 1978 and then the gold-leafed version sold to retailers afterwards?
