In the spirit of the old days, I have written a juicy adventure especially for the con. See my thread on DF, most of the way down the page:

Please make it available in some form for those of us who will be unable to attend?

There are copies # 3, 4 & 5 that are signed, etc. One I will take to the Acaeum dinner in Indy if I'm invited again. Another I may auction for my pet charity/service organization at GenCon. These are fancy-schmancy copies with cardstock covers and map pages, and a special marking as well as the numbering.
I guess if enough interest is shown, I might sell copies. Haven't done it yet, hadn't planned it yet. Why not?
Is there any interest?

What's the adventure about Tim?  Is it set in your D&D world?

I"m confused now. This weekend is Gary Con II, isn't it? There could hardly be ephemera from Gary Coni I, since it was impromptu. A couple kids drew Gary Con on their T-shirts, but that was the only thing I can recollect taht could be considered ephemera from that event, unless someone claimed salvage rights to the pizza boxes and stuck them in their trunk? :D

Luke Gygax, Gary's middle son, named this event. I believe the wake/gaming that was done was very off-the-cuff; if it was called "GaryCon' that was a spur-of-the-moment christening. Luke is arranging this event and organizing it. As he calls it Gary Con I, so will I. As to the fate of the pizza boxes? I imagine that they are in a landfill in WI.

The modular adventure is indeed set in my world of Makandar, and will be part of a larger arc of adventures sometime in the future. It is designed for 6 to 9 PC's, although I can handle 10, or possibly 11 if demand is great. Us oldtimers used to handle groups that size routinely. The suggested PC Level range is 6 to 9, although with a bit of judicious tinkering, I can make it exceedingly challenging for PC's up to Level 12. Bwuhahahahaha....

I looked at the Web Site for GaryCon for this weekend. Something about pre-reg being full and not accepting any other players?

Tim,

Do you know anything about this?  I was hoping to travel up and play this weekend...

The evening of gaming after Gary's funeral is/was GaryCon Zero.
This is the first Official GaryCon.

IO, I'm sure if you show up you'll be able to get in (mention my blessing if you have to), but technically the building is at capacity.

Now that that's been clarified...
I'm sure that if you show up, you won't be turned away. You may, or may not, find a Legion Hall at capacity when you arrive. Who knew? Luke thought maybe 50 or 75 people might show up, Stephen thought maybe half again as many; looks like close to 200 may be there. AL hall is only rated for like 125 or 140, something like that. Next year, Luke says he will find larger venue.
If it's just a day trip, by all means come on up. Now you know why the pre-reg.

Interested in a copy of the module should you decide to sell them...

Wish I could come up, but not this time around...

Just an fyi for collectors...

At GaryCon 1 I'll be running:
The first D&D Module ever published...
Palace of the Vampire Queen
OD&D characters provided

Each player gets my signed Persiflagous Panegyrical Proclamation attesting to his or her participation in this adventure at this place.

I'm willing to run it twice, up to 12 players @.

I've also been asked to run (my) The Great Bugbear Hunt; we shall see.

Holy Schmakrel!

I've got to start thinking of excuses to get away from the missus for Sunday, too!

That's some real history.

I'd love to have a crack at Palace and/or Bugbear!

(Are sign-ups all on-site or what?)

Tim, you have a standing permanent invitation to the Acaeum dinner at GenCon.

I'd be certainly interested in buying a copy of the module, if you make them available.

And if you auction a signed copy . . . be warned:  I WILL BID TO WIN.

Bracton, the collector of all things Tim Kask, strikes again....!

I guarantee that if Tim wanted to make some cash, he would only need to auction spare items of clothing at Gencon, Bracton would need it to complete the collection.  Heck, Tim's old shower sandals might go three figures.... :D
