Hi all!

I have a question. I am trying to buy a MegaBloks Dread Eye Phantom from a UK seller, and he claims it is too big to ship overseas. Is this true? It's a sizeable box, I would guess 4-5 pounds.
Anyone?

UK shipping 'weight' is calculated by the over all size of the box as well as the physical mass of the contents, so a large box of mostly air can be deemed to 'weigh' the same as a small box full of magazines.

That said, there isn't anything that cannot be shipped, it is just a matter of cost and how much effort the seller is willing to put into shipping the item.

You might want to look at www.parcelforce.co.uk, or www.royalmail.co.uk, for the constraining dimensions and an indication of cost. They have shipping calculators that allow you to input package size as well as weight.

Hi,

I sent a shedload of mags to Australia, recently, and it was cheaper to split them into smallish boxes (roughly A4 on each side). They could then go as some sort of "cheap paper option".

They still cost more than £25 per box tho.

Quick estimate from the Parcelforce website says expect minimum £45 ($63 approx) shipping.

UK international mail for non-paper stops at 2kg.

Parcelfarce service within the uk is dreadful.

Cheapest method would be to use one of the parcel companies who buy and sell space from the big boys. But they can be dodgy too.
