ST1 is a pile of sh1te, which is why its so rare, because back in the day, nobody wanted one

starstone is a most excellent setting.

there are MANY UK items.....but i will leave it to ian/malc and carl to lead the way here, as they prb know much more of then than i!

i traded a uk item to frank (DL) a while back - thats a pretty cool adventure, but i cant remember the name of it.....frank can prb shout in about that one.

I think all of these are good products.  I like the CDM series more than the Gamemaster publications though.  CDM was reworked into the Warhammer Doomstones series as well.  Starstone is also an excellent item.

Some of the other UK items that come to mind are:

* Solo Dungeon and Kandroc Keep
* Casalana City and Raflan (Disenchanted Games)
* The Standing Stones (Scale Design - who also did the last issues of Beholder)
* probably hundreds of fanzines

Mars has got this right! UK fanzines are (were) fantastic. The sheer breadth of imagination was phenomenal even if the quality was very patchy indeed!
Look at the classifieds  in earlyish copy of White Dwarf to see just how many were available, and of course Imagine had a decent review column for fanzines. (Imagine itself was actually not bad - but then you know that already Axel!)

I've read ST1, or as much of it as I could bear - safe to say it's value lays in its rarity rather than its quality.

Serlerans comment about WFRP is spot on as well - if you can get past the 'Empire' quasi medieval thing then they are uniformly well written .

Tortured Souls - I had a load of these back in the day but none as keepers recently. I remember not liking them very much, and the few I have had to resell in the past couple of years never even got more than a cursory look. (Though IIRC their default campaign setting was very low-magic - which I don't(didn't) like - if I'm misremembering that then forgive me!)

GameMaster Publications - I've only ever had #3 (In Search of New Gods), which I got BITD and have had at least 3 copies since (so it must be common) - I liked it a lot - I seem to remember something about a really contentious editorial, but I could be wrong

Starstone - just buy one already!

And White Dwarf - I'm just selling my back issues having brought the 1st 10 years DVD. Frankly some of it is amazing - I had forgotten how lucky we were to have such a fine publication. D&D aside, I always liked some of the other system stuff - Tower Trouble for Traveller, A Day in the Life and a Night in the Death (or something like that) for Judge Dredd of all things, An Alien Werewolf in London (Traveller again), Irilian (Generic/D&D) just a few that I can remember by names of - some decent Paranoia(!) stuff, Cthulhu (Draw the Blinds on Yesterday?), Griselda Fiction, Dave Langfords book column - great stuff, happy days indeed!! (I brought issue 342 today - FOUR QUID!!! - not too good for roleplaying any more, but my boys are getting into 40K, so it might be my way back into the gaming world - here's hoping)

Absolutely.  I re-read Irilian the other day - an amazing city setting and adventure, and neatly compressed into very few pages.

Hmmmm.  I also think that there is a White Dwarf scenario for Starstone or the environs?  I will root around in my records and see if i can find which issue.  I am guessing in the 30s or 40s...

Actually the UK modules were some of my favorites all around, Drums on Fire Mountain, Sentinel, Gauntlet, loved the maps, the solo one, can't believe I've forgotten its number and name.
