Hey gang. I recently came into possession of a SW D1-2 Descent Into the Depths of the Earth with the orange cardboard header/hanger intact. I looked in the print archive, and do not see this one listed. Did we not know it existed? Or, just need a picture for the archive?

If we just need a pic, I'll take one and mail it up posthaste. If it's all new, then, super cool. :) Lemme know. Thanks!

Yes it's a hanger just exactly like that. I got an L2 as well, but that one's already listed in the archive. Let's see if anybody else has heard of it! If not, yay me! :)

I would guess this was an overstock issue with TSR. They over-printed certain modules and had to get creative to get rid of them to some non-traditional retail outlets - say KB toys, certain bookstores, etc.

Odds are the module itself is not a different printing just for that packaging.

The fact that we don't see many floating around simply goes to the fact that nobody "collected" modules back in the day - they used them.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

I'm bumping this for more information. Seriously, has nobody ever seen D1-2 with the orange Toys-R-Us header? May make my item unique? Just looking for some information gang. Thanks. :)

Although I have never seen one, I seriously doubt that any Toys R Us marked item is going to be anywhere near unique.
Hard to find, obviously, but no way its unique.
I suspect that thousands were delivered to various Toys R Us outlet stores for stocking and sale.

I have two B-2's with the header in tact and in Shrink and many other modules have been bought and sold on E-Bay with headers. As stated above, they were simply pulled from the overstock (TSR) warehouse and repackaged for sale to markets other than games stores and comics shops.

I used to see them all the time, when I was about 12.

OK, let's see if I know how to post a pic.

Nope, I don't. I took a nice picture of it, if anybody wants to tell me how to stick it in a thread, I totally will. Thanks. :)

First, you have to have a host for it. There are many free image hosting sites, like photobucket.com. So, create an account, upload the picture. It will give you the "code" for insertion in a forum, so just copy and paste it. Voila!

I was just wondering how the hanger is attached to the module?  I don't see the staples through the module as in the WG4 hanger.

Good question. Glue. The orange header is stuck to the back of the shrink wrap. It's the same with my other L2 I have with the header, and I also have a thrashed I4 in the shrink (kinda) and on the back it looks like somebody tore off the orange header....it's got like white cardboard on the top of the back of the shrink. :) Wish they hadn't torn off the header. Boo.
