I sold the EPT set on ebay.  Wanted a little more for it, but I need the money more than the pride right now so.



The big hitch is this: the "winner" is from Australia.  The auction clearly states "Will ship to US".



How do I break it to the bidder w/o being dickish about it?

You'll find that if he's from here and you don't want to ship to Aussie land that you might be able to foward it on to someone else in the US and then they can ship it on from there?

He's a good guy....bought a bunch of tekumel stuff from me, paid promptly, and left feedback when he got it.

Priority boxes are easy enough to get, and if you really want to make it easy just get some of the flat rate boxes (so you don't have to even calculate shipping, cost is $37).  The only trouble is filling out the customs form which isn't that much trouble.  If you cut yourself out of the international market you'll leave a lot of money on the table...the dollar isn't worth crap nowadays and our foreign friends are flush with euros!

If you really don't want to ship overseas, I'd just send a polite note informing the guy why you won't mail it.  He seemed like  apretty reasonable dude when I sold to him.

Wasn't there a posting about something like this earlier?  Somebody who got into an eBay dispute over whether or not they should receive a non-shipping seller strike because their auction said worldwide but the description said US-only?

Seem to recall that eBay's response to the seller was essentially a combination of "tough" and that shipping restrictions are only truly enforceable via eBay if they're part of the eBay auction info, and not the item description.
