Hi all,

I have been looking at picking up the old TSR blister packs to fuel my recent collecting bug and i have noticed that some of them are easy enough to find, but alot of them are just not turning up at all in any searches I can think of.

Dang!  fast responses, love it.

Patience when I have a bug in my butt about finding something is in pretty hard to come by..  It was so strange seeing the same ones offered and NONE of the others barely even mentioned, let alone up for sale.

Ill keep refreshing ebay haha

I kept a miniature on my search list once (a Games workshop mini) for over two years.  Fianllay it came up and I got it for a reasonable price.  Ebay seems to get everything at one point or another.

Here hoping for a 1st edition guidon chainmail soon

I have been on your site a few times for painting tips a few weeks ago, Blackmore, strange seeing you pop up here too.  Just went through your ebay store list too, heh.

I sell a few things to try and prop up my meager collection

Painting site is actually my wife's creation.  She paints, I collect them. :)

I think she does some great work.  I have been selling a lot of stuff too to support my new hobby.  I bought up a bunch of minis from a few lots, soaked and scrubbed them and currently selling off the ones I dont really want (after picking out some sweet ones to paint).

Its kind of like trading in my old stuff for some newer old stuff with ebay money being the middleman.

Can anyone confirm that these exist by having a blister of 'em:

5613 White Dragon, Sleet
5614 Black Dragon, Onyx
5615 Young Brass Dragon, Blaize
5616 Hill Giants
5617 Stone Giants
5618 Baku

I thought they were planned but never produced.

That is what I was thinking...  Same with 5713-5718...  I saw both groups on the 'complete product list' pages while searching..

Oh and another surprise seeing you here, if that is your name on ebay.. I was outbid on your Black Prince Chariot of Fear..  So sad I missed it.

Guys if you do find out that the products were never released please get Foul to update the following list accordingly:

I have several sealed TSR minis blisters, will have to check to see if any of these appear therein.

Yeah, that was me. I'll have more miniatures box sets up for auction next month.  Better luck on those!   :D

I don't think those were ever released. If they were, I would have been chasing those a long time ago...If you look at the Stuff of Legends TSR miniatures page, they don't even list them.

http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~tpope/sol/tsr/adnd.html

Here's to my guess that they were scheduled, but never released. Unless I am mistaken (and please Blackmoor or Ekim Toor correct me on this one if I'm wrong), it would make sense - if TSR made the minis from 1985 to 86, I believe Partha and Citadel acquired the license in 1987. So it would make sense that they were never released...

I agree.  I was actually buying TSR miniatures back in the 1980s, and I've never seen (or met anyone who's seen) those.  The dragons on that list are DragonLance characters -- if those miniatures existed, you would definitely be hearing about them from DragonLance collectors. (Also, all of those would seem to be larger than monsters TSR produced.)

TSR shut down its miniatures line pretty quickly, so there's a lot of announced products that never got produced.  Look at the back of a Star Frontiers box, for example, and you'll see all sorts of crazy things (like "Hovertank") that never got produced.

Ok, I appreciate the info.

I have been going on what the Stuff of Legends page says on things (though that page isnt totally complete on all things),

The main reason why I posted the question is that the Acaeum stock list, and a few other pages that I suspect were lifted from here, was different from the SOL page and listed six more monster blisters and 6 more character blisters than SOL listed.
