I went to buy a copy at the local RPG store, hoping at last that it would be somewhat useful.  It didn't have the issue yet, but it had the penultimate one.  And then I saw the price.

At $9.95, I'll pass.  I wouldn't be entirely surprised if they jacked the price up even further for the final issue, either.

Last issue of Dragon was #359.  Last issue of Dungeon was #150.

WoTC didnt publish either magazine so they didnt have to do anything for the subscribers.  Paizo was the publisher and I believe that they either refunded the balance or applied it to their new publication Pathfinder depending on what the subscriber preferred.  But you might want to check out their website to be certain.

It is also too bad that Paizo didnt have a chance to collect the Age of Worms adventure path series from Dungeon into a hardback like they did with Shackled City.  And from what I have read it doesnt look like WoTC cares to do anything with it.

If I were the subscriber, I would be REALLY pissed about that...she said he wasn't even offered "credit" towards Pathfinder.

Now that is just poor ... even a junior marketing type would realise that the best way to get the current subscriber hooked on the new online version would be to put the credit towards it.  Thus given the subscriber incentive to use the online version.  Maybe WotC are just running late with the notification?
