Does anyone know whether there are distinctive printings for the 2nd edition c. 1979? More information can be found here https://www.tsrarchive.com/bh/bh-core.html.

Both books state "Second Edition, First Printing, April 1979" but one has prices listed on back cover, other does not. I don't know that there's ever been a discussion about which is which, but removal of prices typically indicates a later printing.

Great! Thank you. I take it, therefore, that the boxes are indistinguishable.

Yep! At least nothing that I could find comparing them side-by-side.

iirc things were exploding so we removed prices from lists everywhere.
Thus, the no-prices version is the second of the two. imho

My friends Dave & Gary made a quantum leap in entertainment. Remember them.
