Prices of premium quality items have sky rocketed.
I don't know about TSR published products, but the non-TSR stuff I used to track and sell have seen maybe a 4 fold increase in prices over the past 15 years.
That's for
NM copies.
However, a rising tide floats all boats, so you have a real increase in the value of Judges Guild play copies, that 15 years ago were hardly worth even listing on eBay on a count of fees etc. Like play copies sold for less than the cost of shipping back then. But eBay is a bad gauge of prices for two important reasons. 1. The sellers of crap always have, and always will list things at ridiculous prices because they don't care and have no interest in providing buyers with a good buying experience. 2. eBay have removed the ability for buyers to check historic sale prices of items, because this used to keep prices down, reduce sales, and therefor reduce revenue. By hiding the true value of products from the buyers, many are too bone idle to go and find out for themselves, and will just buy or bid regardless, on the basis that if someone else is willing to bid against them it mist be worth it, right?
This is why we have a dedicated team tracking sales and maintaining our valuations, for which I will take this opportunity to extend my gratitude and thanks. They do a wonderful job, and, so far as the TSR products are concerned, The Acaeum remains the most accurate way of estimating the value of something online.
And welcome back.
This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.
