Hello everyone:

I have a nice copy of a third printing brown box that did not come with the front box cover label.  According to Jim Ward, they were occasionally in such a hurry to get orders out of the door, that sometimes labels were missed.

My question is whether or not anyone knows how rare these examples are?  I know that I do not have the only one, but I am wondering if anyone knows approximately how many of these were made like this.

Thanks.

Alex

Hi Alex,
I believe that three of my twelve don't have labels

So that would be (whirr, clank, whirr, clink, ding!) twenty five percent.

Assuming that strat has a completely random set of brown boxes, of course.

I also have an unlabeled brown box that came with reference sheets. I've been using it to hold recently published digest sized booklets.
