I just received the following e-mail:

Hi, it's Jayson from Gygax magazine. Just wanted to drop you a last-minute note and let you know that Jon Peterson, author of Playing at the World, the history of RPGs and wargaming, will be doing a Reddit AMA ("Ask me Anything") today at 4pm Eastern / 1pm Pacific time.

Today is the 40th anniversary of the release of Dungeons & Dragons, so we thought the best way to mark the occasion would be to revisit the origins of the game itself.

Thanks for sparing me those.

There is some irony that in this day and age you need a reddit to ask questions of someone who maintains a fairly high-profile online presence, but, people did attend and pose queries, so, I guess it was useful
