Just noticed something when looking through some books.

The Original D&D 5th print of Underworld & Wilderness Adventures has, I understand, references to Tolkien creatures:
p11, table 6, "Balrogs"
p15, table, column 2, "Balrogs", column 3, "Ents"
p16, movement table, "Balrogs"
p18, table of flyer types, "Balrogs", table of giant types, "Ents"
p19, table of Dragon types, "Balrogs"
p25 (picture is labelled; "Ent")
p26, table includes "Balrog"

Possibly some more, I have just scanned through a copy quickly.

The Original D&D 6th print of Underworld & Wilderness Adventures has, I think, no references to Tolkien creatures. Again I have just glanced through a 6th print.

However I also have a copy that looks pretty much like a 6th print, and which has no Tolkien references, but which retains:
p18, table of flyer types, "Balrogs", table of giant types, "Ents"
p19, table of Dragon types, "Balrogs"

Any thoughts ... other than I need to get out more!
