Were dice included in any of the OD&D sets or did everyone have to buy them separately?

I am pretty sure that my OD&D White Box had the dice included - They were the 'cheap' dice that you had to color in the numbers. I think even the crayon was included. This was back in 1979 ???

I bought and opened a late print OCE in shrink back in the early '90's, no dice. Not sure about earlier prints.

Over the years, I have collected over 25 of the White OD&D box sets.
Not a single one of them included any dice that were a part of that set.
None of them were SWed either, so it is possible they originally came with dice, but I do not think so.

i think we can date this to february 15th, 1992. smarmy had an unexplained seizure that day that briefly required hospitalization. now we know why.

My OCE did not have dice, though my similar style late print of Tractics did have one or two 20-sided dice, IIRC.

Hello Mrs. Cleaver, Theodore.

Gee, Mrs. Cleaver ... That certainly is a lovely dress.

Complicated question as some stores or re-sellers may have sold the sets with the dice.

Some previous discussion of this:
One OCE/white box sets (2004)
OCE Dice (2006)
Question about OD&D Dice (2009)

Nothing definitive, though. I don't think a shrinked set with dice inside has been found.

Umm, I meant to say my dog ate the shrink off of my OCE, so I figured I might as well take a look inside.
