I've picked up a number of decent lots on ebay recently and besides the normal problems of slow shipping and bad packaging I have just run into a rash of sellers who aren't shipping items at all. I'm not out any money as the payments end up being refunded, but I was wondering if anyone else is running into this? Is this some new tactic for sellers to test the waters to see what they can get for their items? I am about to file two more cases with ebay with sellers who haven't shipped and won't communicate.

I haven't purchased anything D&D-related on ebay in a while, but am curious: is this domestic, international, or both?

I purchased "Carnival", the Ravenloft 2nd ed mod from a seller on eBay in Dec 2012, who never shipped it or responded to my inquiries. Like you, eBay refunded my money but this seller apparently scammed several other people out of their cash. I really wanted that mod too. Oh well. The price was a little too good to be true (~ $16). He's no longer a registered user but I'll scrape through my PayPal logs to find his info.

Oh, and it was a 2nd chance auction. Hmm.

Update: Pulled the PayPal logs from early December and found this name: Joseph Davidson. I apologize in advance if this is someone other than the person that I had trouble with; this name is on the refund transaction from eBay after the case settled.

Alabama man for wire fraud. Joseph Davidson, has been charged in U.S. District Court with wire fraud in connection with an eBay scheme in which he allegedly received approximately $77,000 for stolen goods sold on the auction site. "Online auction houses present an opportunity for a thief to turn a stolen item into cash. Thieves should know that law enforcement can surf sites too in investigating crime," stated U.S. Attorney Alice H. Martin in a statement on the FBI's Web site.

Hello all!

Recently, I've been trying to work with the seller 'harlon72' on ebay for a couple of items he/she couldn't sell. I've received commitment twice now on a price and sale but then he/she relists them on eBay again at a higher price than we agreed to.

Does anyone know this person? I hope they are not an Acaeum member; their practices are a bit shady.

Although this seller has a couple of choice items, I'm blocking them due to their bizarre behavior.

Update: After I told him I was no longer interested in his items, he sent an insulting message, questioning *my* seriousness as a collector. Hmm.

The way I see it, I'm not the one depending on eBay sales to make a living.

Why can't people just operate with a little bit more class and professionalism?

Same seller also uses : Member id mrsgilbert2013

Same physical location listed, same photo background. Same crappy attitude. Has at least 1 other ebay ID that I've seen (photo background). Non-responsive when I asked "is this also you?"

I think I've also seen some suspect bidding activity. Shrug.
