Either my Search-fu is weak, or it hasn't been discussed. Has anyone shown photos of the dice typically included with each the box sets (Holmes, B/X, BECMI, or other as appropriate)?

The Holmes set included those old familiar 70's dice.
B and X sets had the same dice as were sold in the "Dragon Dice" packs of the early 80's ( http://www.acaeum.com/ddindexes/miscpages/odd.html )
BECMI did not come with dice (if I recall correctly ... It has been some years ...)

Oh, I'm familiar with Holmes sets. It's about the only thing in the Basic line with which I have a clue (my first set of dice ). I've seen sets of 5 light blue or tan dice (not inked - like the one in the pic for Dragon Dice), which I think are with the Moldvay or Mentzer basic set. I have a bagged set of multi-colored dice (Gamescience) which are from that era, but I don't know which set with which they were sold, unless they were only sold separately in mixed colors.
