Had competitive bidders, item already up to $1600. Would not make sense to do an offline sale instead of the auction, IMO. Hopefully just correcting and relisting.

It would make sense if the off-line offer was significantly higher than the then current price, plus Allowing seller to avoid e-Bay fees.
Not nearly the first time this would have happened.

Yah. :(
And that 2nd Chainmail at 205-ish is from the same seller (with 20k+ FB, a largish commercial op).
Fair warning...

that $1600 looks to be the top bid? not the actually bid that was showing.. cancelling bids allows you to see max bid entered maybe? would suggest offsite deal since it looks like he cancelled them all at once

For what it is worth, I asked the seller, and he said that the set was on consignment and the owner had second thoughts and decided not to sell.

  I'm not.  I initially messaged the seller on eBay to find out the printing before he posted it.  So when he cancelled the listing, I decided to ask.

But it was a pretty minty looking second print, eh?   :D

Just as an FYI, I inquired as well and received the same response ... too bad :-(

Thanks - PM

Seller has 100 very nice looking miniatures, mostly Grenadier & Ral Partha in their original boxes.

Check it out: eBay listings

Good Luck to you Mini Mongers

Also looks like a different seller tried to cancel this auction:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

They canceled all the bids but Ebay didn't let them cancel the auction (because it ended within 24 hours?).  Looks like they created a shill bidding account to them win their auction.

Yep it was a shill account.  Message back from seller after the auction ended:

I'f you want to make me an offer above the final bidder I'll throw in the board game on the top ;)

RPGA slipcase from NK for $50 bin, looks like it's in pretty good shape, though perhaps faded a bit?:

Are these notably rare? A friend of mine has a couple in fair-good shape (holding his Polyhedrons) but he didn't expect them to be of interest.
