It certainly has great reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and other places, but I just didn't get that into it. The best thing about the movie is the actress playing Wonder Woman is stunning. She's basically a female superman with a lasso that makes people tell the truth. She's immune to poison, speaks 100 different languages, catches lightning, and flies. The fighting scenes have slow-motion segments so you can see how Wonder Woman is twisting and turning, dodging bullets and slicing enemies. The main problem I had was the plot kept twisting and turning along with the motivations of the characters. Wonder Woman is naive and then worldly when it's convenient. Wonder Woman wants to kill the main bad guy one minute and rescue children the next. It's contrived. It's also just a little too cheesy even though it presents itself as mostly save-the-world serious. Even the moral of the movie appears conveniently at the end. Is it worth seeing at the theater? If you were a fan of the comic book or cartoon Wonder Woman at some point, then yes. Otherwise, maybe not. It's not bad. Maybe I just had my expectations up too high beforehand.I did not see the movie in IMAX. There are no bonus scenes after the credits.

I just want to say that I'm really enjoying your movie reviews, benjoshua. More often than not, I find myself agreeing with your assessment after I see the movie for myself. Thank you for posting these!
