I just thought I'd bring this thread back to the front page...

I'm imagining the prints rolling off the presses and Erol examining each one with a loupe before signing with a flourish.

Not long before the packing and posting will begin, I'm sure... can't wait!

Regards

Mike

The printing company has indeed finished, but Erol has not signed or numbered them yet.  I do not have confirmation of when that will happen, but should be in a week or so at the most.  Everything is moving along nicely.  8)

The closer we get to NTRPG Con the more nervous I get about mailing these out in a timely matter. I hope the purchasers will be patient if these arrive too close to the con, I'll try to get out what I can but as you can well imagine I will be very, very busy in the couple weeks leading up to the con, not to mention going out of town the weekend of May 14-16 for my stepdaughter's college graduation. I would hate to postpone mailing these until after the con, but rest assured I will keep everyone up to date of the timeline the best I can.  If these are to be mailed after the con it will definitely be my first project after wrapping up NTRPG Con #2.

And remember, if you are coming to the con and have a piece of artwork you have paid for, I will be glad to deliver it to you there (complete with mailing tube to hold it!) so you can show them off and make all the people who didn't buy one very, very jealous....!

If I remember correctly we will also have at least 1-2 copies of the EO art available at NTRPG Con for raffle or auction ....

Mike,

Will there be a copy or two making their way to Gen Con for the auction?

Nope, all extras at the NTRPG Con, since Doug is paying for them....

UPDATE!

The prints have arrived at Mike's house!  Mike says it looks like they arrived safe and sound, but we won't know for sure until he opens the crate!  8O

We are in the process of finishing up the Certificate of Authenticity, and we should ship these shortly after the NTRPGCON.  The good news for those attending NTRPGCON is that you will be able to get your copy there.  It will include a tube so you should be able to take it home safe and sound.

It's been a long journey, and it's getting close to finished.   I am ecstatic!  :D

The packing job was superb (a wooden crate, inside that padded with styrofoam and cardboard another large box, inside that box the artwork covered by wax paper) and everything looks fine. The prints are larger than I expected, on a heavier stock paper than I thought. They are simply amazing, the scans we've seen here don't begin to show off the vibrant colors and little details in EO's work.  Seen in person they are just incredible!  Unless you are going to frame these, I don't know how you would begin to do them justice.

Please note that tiny imperfections are present in every print, mostly along the edges (since it's a ragged, heavy stock).  Also I'm experimenting with the best way to roll them for tubes since the stock is heavier than I thought and I don't want to bend them.  I'll try to get some sort of wax paper to wrap or cover the print in to protect it further.

Remember these won't begin shipping until after NTRPG Con, except for a couple of test mailings to see how long they take to arrive and what condition they arrive in.  I will probably randomly pick a couple of names (Including one international buyer) and ship 2-3 copies, if you are a test subject I will let you know.  If I don't have time or the materials before NTRPG Con I wont do this.

If you are coming to NTRPG Con and have bought one of these, it will be tubed up and waiting for you along with your registration packet.

Congrats to the Committee for their hard work.  I cannot even begin to think of all the little fires you guys had to put out, all the little problems that needed to be negotiated, and all the different personalities that had to be dealt with to bring this project to completion.

(Mike - I know you know this but I have to say it for my own sanity.  Place wax paper on top of image and roll the print up so that the image is on the inside of the roll.  Again, I know you know that but just had to say it.)

Echoing those comments above, (even though I haven't bought a copy)congratulations to the Committee on dealing with everything thrown their way and getting a great result by the sound of things.

So.... When's the next commission starting up...

You....are a bad man!  What'll it be?  The pointy stick or thirty lashes with a wet noodle?

It really wasn't that bad, just time intensive.  If you have a good committee, good things happen.   :)

Agree with the CUDOS to the EO Committee.

THANK you all for your Hard Work and your patience with the things you guys had to deal with... including us.

I'm going to experiment with the NTRPG Con print so as not to mess up anyone elses.  I'm going to find a tube the right size and roll one up inside for a few days to see how long it takes to flatten out again after it is removed. Yes I already figured out the paper would have to go in "front" to protect the artwork.

Well, that's what I get for limiting my reading to research... I missed this thread entirely. :(

Are all the copies already accounted for? Any chance to still get one?

As much as I would love to get mine at the convention, I really do not have way to get it home. Airlines limiting baggage is the problem. Mine can be mailed as originally described.

Thanks, Bill
