I think SJW historical revisionist stockholm syndrome has no place in D&D.

I do not know whether the expression of "cowboys with swords +1" comes from this or any other D&D module, but I can see why someone might say that.  However, if I was a dungeon master and my players poisoned the keep well, killed all its inhabitants, and stole all its money, there would be consequences.  The first consequence would be from the cleric's deity.  The second consequence might be that the party would have a difficult to impossible time finding any friends or resources from anyone of good alignment as high-level clerics and scrying magic-users spread the news.  From there, it would turn into a witch hunt with the players being the "witches."  A good DM allows players to make whatever decisions they want and then reveal the consequences allowing dice to play out many details.

Maybe the Keep on the Borderlands could provide greater detail on why the Caves of Chaos need to be cleaned up, cleared out and justice applied.  While most, if not all, of the creatures within have the alignment label, "chaotic-evil" it's not always clear why they all have that label.  A good DM could interject some overheard conversations in their excursions or scraps of paper with plans to raid and kill innocents, for example.  

On the other hand, this adventure could take on a very different twist by changing the motive of the Lord of the keep to a land grab and the "Caves of Chaos" as his term for inhabitants who are in his way but not guilty of anything but living.  That might be an interesting twist indeed!  Everything might appear completely the same for players until they enter the first cave and find squaws with papooses running for their lives and a few painted men trying to drive them away with tomahawks, bows and arrows.  Another cave would have neanderthals.  Another cave would have a dark-skinned tribe led by a voodoo priest.  What would the party do?

The bottom line is that the role of the Dungeon Master is critical to the game being interesting and lasting.  There are campaigns which are hack and slash, and in most cases, these campaigns become boring.  Monty Haul campaigns usually become more about possessing than adventuring and also die out.  The really sad reality of all this is that homo sapiens, our ancestors, have been responsible for raping and pillaging the hell out of our planet, and we are only recently beginning to come to our collective senses.  We've had some successes, like significantly reducing the number and degree of wars, but mankind has created quite a challenge for our kinfolk to come.

I've been working on a module of my own that will call that very assertion into question. It involves a band of Orcs that are moving into human territory, stealing crops and livestock, etc. The catch is, they aren't actively acting "evil". If the party stops and questions one of the band, they will discover that they are actually refugees fleeing from a much worse evil...

I'm curious, I know the board gets credit for items that are purchased on Ebay via links here. If someone posts a link in a thread and then someone purchases through it, does that work as well? If so, how about a dummy thread where items can be posted and then purchased?

For example, I find something I want to purchase, I go to the thread and post the link and I then click the link to buy the item. Would this work?

eSports are real. I have heard they may even be included in the 2024 Olympics which sounds crazy to me!  But if the Olympics become something than non-athletic folks can join, then why restrict the competition to sport games?  Let's have a D&D Olympics champ too!
