I know this particular blister is rarer than others and the blister is in near mint condition but I think this is the highest price I've seen for one individual AD&D Ral Partha blister. Various Council of Wyrms mint in blister only went for $100 a pop last time those came around.

I don't know what's going on with the vertical lines on the top of this one - shadow?

Looks like the reflection from the ceiling, which appears to be concrete.  If you look closely you can see the electrical conduit and box to the right of the dragon's flame.

And if you look to the left, I think you can see an image of Jesus eating a sandwich.

Lol  :lol:  I could not find the sandwich but I did find the electrical box.  I had also wondered about the image.  The eyes of the Acaeum are sharp indeed!

That must be why he now jumped up the price to $195.

<shameless plug>Which makes me the cheapest BIN copy of Ebay again </shameless plug>:

He could be seeing the number of views for a sold item skyrocketing and wondering what is going on.  LOL

Some shrinkwrap and more to follow, no doubt;

(Was interesting to see yet another set of Dragon Dice go for $200+ in their completed sales - far from the only one in recent months, which probably explains the healthy bidding on the auction Frank's running ;))

Not cheap, cheap but given that the seller changed to eBay's Global Shipping on the relisting (originally "mislisted" as a $9.99-start auction)  the "save" by placing in a Books category first means that's zero import duty to the UK and others similar which might assist somewhat.
(Would also have been zero-rated if listed in a "correct" RPG category, of course...).

True, but why would Jesus be hanging out & eating a sandwich at an eBay auction? The logical conclusion is that He is waiting to see our reaction to the magical button revealed in the photo. Obviously, the digital photograph of the box has picked up some wavelength of photonic radiation hitherto unguessed by mankind. Something which previously would have required Magical Sight, or the enhanced eyesight of certain humanoid races. The vertical lines on the box must be ley lines, which naturally would match the lines on the ceiling as built by the occult practices of Freemasons -good catch, dbartman!

Now as to the button, I suppose we won't know until we press it. I therefore call upon all Acaeum members who own this edition to take it out and press the invisible button on the edge of the dragon's flame. Be sure to try concentrating psionically on the area of the button as well (the application of blood or other magical components may be required). Please report your findings here (assuming you survive the experiment), so that the data may be appropriately updated on the main Acaeum site.

I'm not entirely sure how the hell this hung around for more than a day, especially considering I've been looking for a replacement for the one I sold years ago, but it's not available anymore....

A bit late for this, but I was wondering, being incredibly new to this, that set didn't have a special edition that came like this did it?

That case looks like one you would find in hobby shops, like Hobby Lobby for around $15-$20.
And no those never came with that box.

That's what I was thinking, even if a chest or box had been included it just didnt look like something TSR would have pr8duced, but being new I try to keep an open mind.
