But then the UK Basic would not suggest there is a censorship issue in play. So why two differenct covers is my query?

If you're buying or own PoVQs you've probably already got a digital camera.Lets take good close up images and compare the detailing. At least them we can confirm or recount that there is a remarkable difference, even if we're gonna label this a different printing, list it and give it authenticity. Let's be sure. Or is this one copy we don't want to look too closely at?

BURP!

Whale Tagger wrote:I already took a good look at them, Dot. If you compare the two, the "Smoke" figure is comprised entirely of the solid pieces of the "Queen" figure. The text is clearly delineated in Queen, and quite rough in Smoke, as are ALL the edges of the drawings and text. Look closely at the mountain that is nearest the tower in Smoke, and you can see a gently curved notch at the top, as opposed to the very sharp on in Queen. The right-hand leg of the R is flat in Smoke, and curved in Queen. The tower bricks connect in Smoke, not in Queen. The lobe of the P in Palace is straight out in Queen, and slightly upcurved in Smoke. The leg of the 2nd A in Smoke is curved, straight in Queen. The T in the has a flat foot in Smoke, curved in Queen, and the E is one solid character in Smoke. There are several other differences. At a guess, someone either traced or freehanded Queen for the Smoke cover. A photocopy would not have these differences. Opening Bella would probably answer the questions, but that really isn't an option, I would think.Back when I insisted that the black-foldered version was the first printing, I did a ton of research. Since it was more than three days ago, I've forgotten just about all of it.....
