Well, this is in the classifieds, but it's still majorly interesting none-the-less:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

Not one but two Planescape Sketchbooks.  BIN price is probably over the top, but the offer option is there, so it appears there's room for negotiation.

Should be interesting to see if anyone bites and for how much.

Hello Brian, good to see you back here!

These two Planescape Sketchbook's have been around for a while.  They haven't sold yet due to the high price being asked.  But, the seller is evidently patient and not in a rush to sell them because he hasn't dropped the price considerably yet, or listed them at a lower starting price to see how much they would actually sell for at auction.

I am curious to see what they sell for if auctioned off instead.  As you mentioned, he is taking best offers so they might sell.

Late print EPT in pretty good condition with no bites last time around but with a lower start price/BIN this time. Just the spotting on the base of the box, but it might be worth double-checking for any sign of paper yellowing at all if interested.

Anyone have any idea who the buyer was? In addition, not being able to buy them all, which one would have been the best buy?

Thanks in Advance - Paul

I'm guilty.

I just happened to see them when I had an opportunity to purchase something from the sale of some other stuff and I couldn't resist.  I've rarely seen copies for sale.

I haven't received them yet but I'll let you know how they look when they arrive.  The seller seemed to have a pretty nice collection he was parting with.

I actually wasn't very sure about the Player's Guide to the Living City but talked myself into it as well.

Holy $#!+ !!

Is this typical of what these are going for nowadays?
A couple years ago, I picked up a comparable first print outdoor geomorphs for under $100.

:?

If you got a 1st print Outdoor Geomorphs set in VF condition for under $100 just 2 years ago then you got a steal.
Two years ago I was seeing them go for around $200-$250 .... for a decent set.
At the same time, I think $499 is over the top, and I think it wont sell at that price.
But it is not ridiculous.
Plus seller has the Make an Offer button showing.... and that is (I think) how it will sell.

FWIW: I just bought a listing that included an Outdoor set (3rd print) and one each of all three of the Dungeon Geos for $280...

The listing does have the "Make an offer" button

Zen is a member of this forum also, if he's like me he'd take less than on Ebay to save on fees!  I'd contact him through the Acaeum if you were interested...

Everyone is correct!! :)

First, hell yes. If you paid less than $100, you got a smoking hot deal.

Second, I've decided to go the Buy-It-Now route for some of these items, and will see how it goes. I fully expect to utilize the Make An Offer button on the items, but heck, I can't tell you how many things I've sold at full on price even with the Make An Offer button there. Sometimes people just want the item in a few days and that's that. Also, a first print was sold in August for $135 that was cut up and covered in acetate, and a third print for $275. So, I'll see how things work out.

But I am here, and willing to speak on offers, and I think others will attest that I am reasonable. Usually. ;)

OCE set + all 5 supplements + 2 copies of chainmail

+ extra 5th print books.
The "Import Charges" (illegally levied for the UK and some other countries) might put a bit of a dampener on this one for international sales but still considerably cheaper ($202.50 with 7 3/4 hours to go) than the $499.99 BIN that was taken on

I don't call that a "misprint". It just got the cover stapled on upside down. That happens, and yeah, I've seen it before. Nothing that would adjust the value anywhere significant IMHO.

$14.99 start OCE filed in the Fiction section - nothing special for condition (ask about that should-be-OK black spot if interested) but should go a bit cheaper in theory. Well, if not listed here, anyhow. :)
