The "world's fastest 3G network" can be amazingly slow.Well, I had it working with forumrunner on my iPhone yesterday, and now the fucker keeps crashing every time I try getting on The Acaeum. Other fora are working fine in forumrunner, though. Irritating as hell. It's looks like forumrunner is trying to log me in on The Acaeum and then kicks me back to the iPhone home screen for some reason. I've tried reinstalling it, but no improvement. I know it's not Scott's problem...any advice on how to fix it in forumrunner?
dbartman wrote:If this has already been mentioned, forgive me for mentioning, but didn't the forums, subforums, and topics pages (The Acaeum Forums • Collecting General) used to have a link at the bottom of the page as well as the top? There is a "Return to Collecting General" but no "The Acaeum Forums".
dbartman wrote:Also, were the forum/topic page links originally above or below the "New Topic", "Post Reply" etc buttons? Not that it's a big deal, but I noticed when I move there with the mouse, I'm having to adjust. Could be my targeting system is off...

dbartman wrote:On occasion, when hitting preview or submit, the selection will not be acknowledged the first time or two. Might not be related to the update but it wasn't doing that before to me and it's not happening every time. It can result in a double posting.
dbartman wrote:Also, a minor point, but graphic text for "The Acaeum" is a bit fuzzy at a zoom of 100%.
FoulFoot wrote:I'll see if I can figure out what's wrong with ForumRunner. As I don't have a phone to test it on, might be a bit tough. :( I assume there's something in the site's code that it doesn't like, and it's probably something I added or changed since I installed ForumRunner, which at least narrows down the candidates.Foul
copycat wrote:ForumRunner is available on the Kindle Fire. It is $1.99. Not worth it, and not needed. You can view the forums just fine, though a little scrunchy, with the native browser. One double tap enlarges it and makes it readable. At least, it does for me.
FoulFoot wrote:I was kinda split on that feature, honestly. While I can see the benefit (like how you describe, for getting the text at work), there were two big negatives: 1) I can't tell you how many times people replied to the e-mail, thinking they were replying to the post (and the reply e-mail was sent to me!),2) complaints from people saying "how come these PMs are stuck in my Outbox?" (the PM *had* been read -- via the e-mail -- but since it was not physically clicked on in the PM Inbox, the system regarded it as unread, and it remained in the sender's Outbox).Unfortunately, I feel these two negatives outweigh the positives, at least for now.Foul
FoulFoot wrote:I checked into the ForumRunner problem briefly but didn't see anything amiss. Is everyone experiencing the same problem on iOS -- attempting to log in, then kicking back to the home screen / app has crashed? Any error code / report associated with it? Does it happen every time?Foul

FoulFoot wrote:Keith the Thief wrote:It was the next day that it began this weird crashing (exactly as you describe). To narrow it down further: was it *exactly* the next day that it began happening? I installed ForumRunner at 9 PM EST on Wednesday. On Thursday at 4 PM EST I installed another mod. From Thursday 10 PM to 1 AM (Fri morning), four more mods. Can you say for certain about what time you first noticed problems?Foul
