from that linked blog: "...,ensuring energy independence and prosperity in perpetuity."  This claim is just ludicrous. There is no such thing as a guaranteed prosperity judging from todays position. Sure, Texas (and California) have enough economic power to make a secession successful in theory. But all these intellectual games don´t take the intangible factors into their equation, like the know-how mentioned. I am quite sure that not all the brilliant minds to be found in Texas are home-bred. With the blogpost alluding to immigration as a problem, this will probably much more of a problem if the secede and close the borders. All of sudden, many ivy-league graduates are foreigners - why should these people move to Texas, as their talents are suddenly in even higher demand elsewhere? I would guess that people who have been against a secession might leave in droves as well, and these are, according to the blog post, city folks, which you need for a working economy. I´m not sure if closing the borders would have the side effect of closing some minds as well, breeding an atmosphere hostile to (percieved) foreigners.

Does anyone have a confirmed list of playing pieces from the TSR board games, "Fantasy Forest" (1982) and "Quest for the Dungeonmaster"?

I'm not sure if mine are complete - I'm looking for a confirmed list somewhere...

Which edition of Fantasy Forest do you have - the early one or the later one with the plastic figures from the cartoon? I have the latter and can check mine if that's the one you have - I would have verified the completeness back when I got it some kinda way.

Can't help you with Quest - it was actually when I bought FF and played it once that I drew the line on TSR boardgames :). With a couple special exceptions, 1982 is where it ends for me.

It's the '82 version.  (no plastic figures).  I actually found a site for the QftDM board game that shows the cards unpunched.  I'll post that link tonight when I get home from work...

Turns out, I'm missing *one* card from the Quest game... if anyone out there has a incomplete copy and want to sell it or part with a single card, let me know.

I looked at boardgamegeek but it was hard to tell. I would look at ebay auctions where people have displayed the contents (hopefully if you can find one unpunched) and just compare to as many auctions/photos you can find. And then obviously to the back of both of your boxes too.
Both of those games came with some little booklet, right?

Each board game had instructions printed on the inside cover.   "Quest for the Dungeonmaster" says 54 cards and "Fantasy Forest" said 'a deck of cards'!

I did find an unpunched sheet of cardboard cards for QftDM online... that was useful in determining I was missing 1 card... although the ebay seller disagreed with me, stating that "they don't trust websites for accuracy" (it was a picture of an unpunched sheet!).  The seller was counting the 2 blank cards.   :roll:

For Fantasy Forest, I compare several sites, of which only one indicated the number of monster cards per monster type but for the newer version... I eventually determined that what I had was complete through process of elimination.

Just one damn card for QftDM.   :evil:

Just arrived today: a box of D&D books.
Note: The photos did not show everything, so mostly sight unseen, I took a risk.

Highlights:
• A Deities & Demigods (maybe VF- at best) with the Cthulhu and Melnibonean sections, 2nd print
• A 2nd print Players Handbook (FN)
• A 3rd print Monster Manual (FN)
• A 4th print World of Greyhawk Folio (VG-/FN)
• An 11th print Supplement I Greyhawk (FN)
• A Games Workshop Dungeon Floor Plans (though only 7 full sheets and 2 partials)
• Mono 2nd print S1 (FN)
• Mono 3rd G3 (VG)
• 4th print DM Screen ('varnished' only one side)
• 2 complete Sets of original Holmes-style dice (later plastic version rather than the ones that chipped easily), plus most of another set

and a few other odds and ends.

All for $30 including shipping!

I get the best deals on Craigslist.  :D

Too bad it only happens once every three years or so.

btw, This seller says Fantasy Forest had a total of 64 cards. He is missing two
