The second NKG copy was at least sold with the correct box, however.

How can one tell if a box is a 3rd print box or a 1st print box?  They look identical to me-- whats the trick?

First print books are just a tiny bit too big to fit in a third print box.

The pictures on nobleknight don't show the fit of the book to the box.  Faro appears to know something we don't, as he is able to tell just by looking at the box in the picture that the box isn't a first print box.  Can someone shed light on this mystical technique?

I think it has something to do with the size of the front cover label. 1st print labels are smaller, if I'm not mistaken.

Looking at the Acaeum photo, that's definitely a corner at the top right judging by the black space and edge/corner wear, there's enough hint of where the edge is at the right from the black space and that's probably the foot of the box at the bottom going by the apparent black space/edge wear/light nicking at the corner. If someone wishes to measure the height/width ratio of the cover sticker, feel free: I never bothered to do so...
