The quality of these prints is very high. We're not using a commercial printer as TLG did with their books in their boxed sets, but a fine art printer with an excellent reputation.

The inks are carbon-based pigments and, unlike the earlier dye-based inks such as those used with Iris printers, are not subject to fading or colour shifting.

Erol met with the master printer and together they chose the stock based on the piece.  They matte stock they selected is Breathing Color's Optica One 300 gram bright white.  

Both the inks and the paper are, of course, archival.

We will be as careful as we can with shipping the prints to prevent any damage.

Unless doing so might damage the ink or the print, then I plan to go a different direction for a while.
Walmart sells frames made of plastic that cost around $10-$20 for a large sized frame.
That frame will hold the print safely on the game room wall where I can enjoy it until I can afford a more expensive framing job.
I do agree it would look much nicer inside a better looking frame done by a pro... but...

This Paul Jaquays Limited Print seems to be doing well enough inside one of those frames.

if they were original inkings or paintings then of course that would be a totally different matter.

I'd estimate that even if you take the job to a retail store in the U.S., such as JoAnne Fabrics, Michael's, Aaron Brothers, etc, you're going to be looking in the $120 range or higher on the most basic frame job. That would be with one of those 50%-60% off coupons.

I think those stores might have ready-made frames, if you're looking to do things on the cheap. I don't know comparatively what the quality is like to one that you'd get at Walmart or Target, etc.

There is another type of store in California called U-Frame-It. I'm not sure if there's similar ones in each of your areas, but it might be worthwhile to look. While they will do custom jobs for more money, most people will choose their nice frames and the type of glass and matting. Then when the customer returns in a couple days after the glass has been cut and the frames and matting are ready, the customer builds and mounts the frame there in the store. For movie poster-sized items, the cost was around $50 for a basic aluminum frame with glass.
