Cute chart, but since when is Buddhism polytheistic?

My eastern religions professor would beat the crap out of the guy who made that flow chart and leave him dead by the side of the road.

Sometimes I questioned his true devotion though...

Not my chart...something I found online but the Buddhism branch might be inspired by Tibetan Buddhism.

It is often perceived by westerners as having many gods with the reverence and graphic depictions of various Lamas who reached a state of "Buddhahood" along with the depictions of "demons" from the ancient Bon traditions.

My system has a hard time processing the 800 grams of saturated fat per slice of bacon. The taste is fine, it's the heart attack that bothers me. And yes, an Arab who dislikes hummus is like an Italian who hates pasta...

At least they gave it a 13 episode 2nd season, which is better than they treated Firefly and a lot of other shows. Sad thing is while Dollhouse is interesting it's also the LEAST interesting of his other works (Buffy, Angel, Firefly). I don't understand why Joss has to take a full season to make his stuff interesting (well, except for Firefly, that was good right out the chute) when nowadays if your show isn't compelling form the opening shot, you are living on borrowed time. I never felt like Joss's heart was in his new project, and while intriguiing, wasn't as good as past Whedon ventures....hell, it wasn't even as good as his recent run on the X-Men comic.

There are rumors that with Joss's success with vampire stuff (Buffy/Angel), and the resurgent vampire craze, his new project will be vampire related....maybe even taking place in the "Buffy-verse" and roping in people like Sarah Michelle Gellar (who has done NOTHING decent since leaving Buffy, great business decision there), Eliza Dushka, and several other ex-Whedon stars (Doubt they could pull in Alyson Hannigan or David Boreanz, who seem to be making truckloads of money with successful primetime shows).

One would wonder why a TV show cannot be interesting and compelling right out of the chute every time.

On a science fiction program, budget requirements call for a "bottle episode" on perhaps one in three episodes. That is an episode where the characters stay inside the ship and deal with a an unlikely threat that does not involve new sets or props. That's why Star Trek The Next Generation did so many tedius "into the mind" or time travel plots.

I believe that Firefly just suffered from bad programming and poor advertising. If people had known there was going to be a serious science fiction/western show (with no robots, genius kids or politically correct plotlines) they might have tuned in.

Fox sucks, they constantly cancel shows. Unless its made by Seth McFarlene (sp?) or is the Simpsons, a show has little to no chance of surviving a couple of years on that channel.

Plus, Fox didn't show the pilot first (?) and showed the episodes out of order on Firefly. If they had handled it correctly I think Firefly would have done pretty well....they had a pretty strong cast, and a plotline that was exciting right off the bat.

BTW, that's a theory as to why Dollhouse wasn't one of Joss's "stronger" conepts. Eliza Dushku owed Fox one more series after "Tru Calling", and she begged Joss to write it (even after Fox had screwed him over), and the way they pissed on Firefly (and have a rep of pissing on shows as Shane points out), there may have been no way he was going to give them his best stuff. Hopefully his next endeavor will be for cable or a channel that doesn't have a nasty rep of not promoting their shows.
