Personally I don't have a problem with him.  He sells a lot of stuff that is sub-standard for this website however for a lot of peeps it is cheap and useable.  We, people on the Acaeum, are after a higher quality of item.  It is easy to knock those that don't mind stuff that has had a 'well-used' life.  We don't want to be the people that he bitches about.  Yes, ask questions of sellers but don't hound them if they aren't as meticulous, read anal, as us.

I think most here don't bitch about Cougie's item condition, it's just that we feel he's animal excrement in human form.

Per the seller:

The books are in great condition. There is barely any staple rust or corrosion and none of the pages are loose. There is a small fraying split at the bottom corner of the 2nd book which is visible in the pictures above. The errata sheet consists of one page with corrections for the book. There is a reference sheet booklet, which consists of 4 fold pages, with various tables and other quick reference material from the books. There is no writing on any of the pages inside the booklet, but there are signatures on the upper inside cover of each booklet, from possibly the original owner. The pages don't have any odor, molds, etc. The books are marked with third printing on the inside of each cover, which makes it one of the first few thousand with Hand Made boxes. I expect that just means putting the label on the front, and putting the books in the box. There is shelf wear on the edge corners of the box, but the box is still very firm and strong with no evidence of crushing.

It is indeed curious.  Maybe his infected toes got the better of him.  Maybe he read one too many Coug communications and just couldn't take it anymore.  If he doesn't watch out, Badmike is going to catch up to his number of posts on this web-site.  Hmmmm.  Strange indeed! :?

Exactly Mike.  (Though he really should learn how to grade items, instead of listing them all as "VGC".)

(Not sure how special it is, but I stumbled across it and figured it might be worth a mention.)

I would be really interested to see if this one goes as high as the last one did. I know a few people are sitting on box loads of these.

I only see (presumably) the same seven watchers and no bids, so no one is excited about it.  It may be too obscure for the mainstream D&D collector.

The last one sold a couple of weeks ago for $89.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=270273556500&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=017

But they are niche market, and NKG are selling them for under $10 a shot. That said, they must be down to their last 25 copies. When I bought mine last year they were retailing at $4.99. I would say it's just bad timing on that. If it had cropped up when no-one had seen one in a long while (as Stephen's did) then you'd score big time. If it doesn't sell, sit on it until next year. It'll come good eventually.

Stephen did end up paying a good price for one of his copies.  Before NK got their bundle in, Stephen and I battled it out for two of the Dundracon items on Ebay.  I forget what the final price was but it was up there.

Speaking about this, I recently picked up a copy on NKG and I looked to afterglow site where it is stated

"12pp Loose leaf.

One double sided instruction sheet and 10 sheets of city geomorphs for use with any role playing system."

Or the ones sold by NKG contains only 9pp loose leaf (1 single sided page instruction sheet and 9 city geomorphs). And they looks like not really old... So perhaps the dundracon supplements sold by Aaron are perhaps not true but fake copies...
