I had a clear chest x-ray, I had a shower, and I ate a full breakfast this morning. My heart surgeon said I could go home today if I wanted! Typically, this recovery takes a week, but I am surpassing all expectations. My pain is minimal, but I am on Percoset(sp?). Still, after discussing this with my wife, we both feel it's better to play it safe and stay one more night here at the hospital. My wife is worried about all the ramifications of getting a pig valve, but I haven't noticed anything funny yet...OINK!! Seriously, thank you all again for the well wishes.

So he calls me one day and says a guy is in and wants to trade or sell a huge pile of D&D items. He said he made an offer but the guy didn't want to deal, so I was welcome to come up and make an offer myself. By the time I get there, the guy is gone. The guy who owned the comic store said he offered him about $60 for 100+ items and the guy left, insulted, saying he was going to the local Half Price Books. The guy who runs the store also says the items were all shrinkwrapped 8O But the dude left a phone number....I call it, and the guy with the modules says he's sorry, he just sold them all to HPB a couple hours ago. I zip up to the local HPB store just in time, the staff there is pricing them. I told them to price them and I would take them all, no matter how much it ended up being. Ended up being a copy of every regular TSR module ever published in SW, including the R and RPGA series, supermodules, and lots of extra goodies (lots of SW boxed sets including World of GH, City of Greyhawk, Bloodstone Pass, etc). It was pretty much everything from 1979 up to 1990ish, still mint in SW. Came to about $1000, and I had a 20% off coupon... Mike B.

It turns out, someone had that idea a while back. This Pokemon Go game is what is called an "augmented reality" game, and there is a fantasy augmented reality game called "Parallel Kingdom MMO." There's another for military game lovers called "Real Strike," and there's a crime game called, "Life is Crime." Apparently, there are even more of these kinds of games out there, but their advanced presence surprised me. I'd be curious if the Parallel Kingdom game is similar to D&D in that you could form a group and take on a specific adventure of some sort. Anyone have any positive experiences with this game or any augmented reality game?

It was not the best of the recent Star Trek movies, but the first two set the bar so high, it was going to be a difficult task. The movie had some humor, some drama, and plenty of action. The action moved so fast at times, it was almost difficult to keep up. The action helps distract from some illogical leaps and plot holes, but it all seemed to make sense at the time.I did not see the movie in 3D or IMAX as has become my custom. One thing I have learned about 3D and IMAX 3D is that it does not usually handle action well. Since I heard this move had lots of action, I'm glad I didn't pay the extra money to see blurs. There is also no bonus scene(s) after the credits. After the movie was over, I realized there was no Carol Marcus, and I started realizing other things. I have found that it's best not to start getting logical about a Star Trek movie because that leads to Star Trek fan arguments, and I'd rather just enjoy the movie. Enjoy it yourself!
