No worries! We adhere to a three-strikes policy around here, so you still have two left.

Some of my pictures from GaryCon.

First, the view from the balcony of my room.

Image

Muaddib5 already posted pictures of some of the relics that Paul Stormberg had on display.  But I just think you can't have enough pictures of these.  It's incredible to see the original DMG painting and the original Paladin in Hell.  But as stratochamp said, I would have felt better if Paul had some sort of plexiglass screen between gamers with pizza slices and Mountain Dew and the artwork.

Stratochamp, Melnibonean and I were in Stefan Pokorney's Dwarven Forge game.  It was a blast, and stratochamp's son got to play as well as his squire.  (Though by the end of the game, stratochamp's paladin appears to have lost his squire to the assassin's guild . . . a story for another time, perhaps.)

The game ended up in a castle, the prototype for the new castle set that Dwarven Forge just start started on Kickstarter.  Stefan told us we couldn't post any pictures until Sunday, when the Kickstarter went live.

The Dwarven Forge game was played in the dining room of the "Grand Suite", which back when the hotel was the Playboy Club was the Hugh Hefner Suite.  In addition to providing a gaming space (and the location of the VIP reception the first night of the convention), it was also the suite that Peter Adkison was staying in.  Peter, for those who don't know, was the founder of Wizards of the Coast, and is the current owner of Gen Con.  So I got my picture with Peter (to my left, with Increment and stratochamp on the right, and stratochamp's squire in front).

Image

Finally, a few pictures from the auction, including the event known as the Shearing of the Kask.

Before the auction began, Luke announced that Jim Ward was the first recipient of the Gary Gygax Award.  The first picture is of Jim in back, with Merle Rasmussin in the foreground.
