did you message them to ask why they changed that? I didn't see any message about it on their page, twitter or fb. I have no idea how well the magazine was selling, but it doesn't seem good to knock out all the international customers

I don't know about temporary blip. Every time I've checked they haven't shipped to the UK.

I received issue #5 of Gygax Magazine yesterday, and there is more good than bad, but I'm not extending my subscription.  When the magazine was introduced, subscribers had an option to get the first "year" at a rate of $35.00, I believe.  Because of all the delays with the first issues, all first year subscribers were given issue #5 for free, which was fair compensation.

Issue #5 is 68 pages of rpg goodness, especially if you like lots of different games.  This issue arrived in a cardboard envelope which kept my magazine safe from minor damage.  The articles are well-written and the art is good and sometimes great.  The balance between ads, articles and comics is good.  About half the articles are about fantasy gaming, which was disappointing to me since I don't play a wide-range of games.  I understand that most any article can be adapted to whatever game system you play, or ideas can be gleaned, but I wish there was more fantasy content.

Shortly after receiving my first issue of Gygax Magazine, I wrote them with my feedback, a communication I reprinted on page three of this thread.  Looking back at that feedback, they have not taken many of my suggestions.  They still try to cover too many games, and while they do have two mini-adventures in this issue, the fantasy adventure is two pages long and the other is a WWII-type adventure.

I wish Gygax Magazine all the best.  It's great getting a high-quality publication out of the blue.  I remember when I first started subscribing to Dragon Magazine long ago, it seemed like every issue had so much to offer, but when the issue numbers started going over 100, I realized I wasn't enjoying it as much.  I stubbornly held on to hope, but by issue 150 or so, I gave up.  There was no more Wormy and too much other crap.  I am glad I gave Gygax Magazine a try, but I'll spend my money elsewhere.  

I received mine yesterday too. I didn't know what it was at first since the cardboard envelope thing had an address of Wyoming on it (all the previous Gygax mag's came from NY). I'm glad they shipped it protected like that. I haven't opened the shrink part yet, but did you notice a difference in the print quality?

I wonder if the print era has passed.  The only print stuff that seems to be affordable are the cool DIY publications.

It always seems different, unfortunately, I've contacted them for every issue
I've used djinn@gygaxmagazine.com before and I've used the "Contact Us" form on the website as well.
I'll have to go back and see what other routes I've used, I've let my subscription expire and haven't needed to contact them for a while.
