btw, the seller states the Easley print is "sealed in plastic", but I think the prints only came in a plastic sleeve but not sealed, right?

Return to the Tomb of Horrors box set in this lot. I think the condition looks pretty good from the photos, but you may want to ask the seller specifically of any writing, etc inside

As I remember it the plastic was sealed around the print.

Battlesystem at a fairly low price--seller doesn't go into a lot of detail about condition, though.

Days of the Dragon calendar

Deities, Cthulhu, no thanks--B.O. is a little high given the cover wear, but the starting bid's not too bad.

Maybe. Borderline from previous sales.

Just 'cause it's the newer one. The original 10th Anniv. pewter set is much rarer.

Only if one thinks so. I'll pass! I'd much prefer the older version.

Yes I totally agree. The older version is definitively better (and rarer). Wonderfull chess set. I hope to find one, one day... I do not remember seing a lot of them these last years on ebay...

I was wondering if it is a current price for this new version. Didn't see a lot of them too.

"A copy of the originals?" What is he considering 'original'? The others in the photo? Specifics, dude, specifics! Leave us not wanting!

Ok so I asked the question.

We shall see...

I won one of these sets a couple years ago and when it was shipped to me several pieces (wings) had broken and chipped off. I'm not sure if it had been in transit or if the seller was just trying to unload it, but I didn't think the set was all that great and not exceptionally made (especially for $125). Since he had said it was in excellent condition, I returned it for the refund (at the time I think I paid around $75 for it). Even at $75, I didn't think it was worth the price. I have other nicer chess sets that I bought for around that price.

The other 10th anniversary chess set I believe is very rare, and you may have to wait a long while until one pops up.

Be wary of this one. The seller, "brenscollectables" is another suspected incarnation of  of ETC/GAME EMPORIUM/jonb7839 and lisa's_stuff_too.

The start of the discussion is on page 48/49 here:

I'd like to find one, but the problem is that if one pops up on ebay, shipping would kill me, so i would pass on it... :(

An interesting lot. Probably about $100 to high without more information on completeness and condition.

The Battle System set is pretty worthless, though I think a lot of collectors would like the two metal minis that never seem to be with these.

An H2 in Shrink might command a good chunk of the value itself if he showed it and what condition the module and shrink were in.

The X10 might be complete, but he needs to detail the listing.

I do not see this selling for $200 AS IS, but with details of condition and completeness (if they are in decent condition and complete, especially X10 and the shrinked H2) then over a $100 is conceivable.

Same seller with 8 modules from the CM line. CM8 and CM9 are the most valuable out of the lot, but still no detailed description of condition. $100 isn't unrealistic, but the AS IS comment and the generally low value of most of the modules makes me think it won't sell. Selling CM8 and CM9 individual and the rest put into a single lot with much lower starting bids would probably get this sell the $100 he is asking for, if he at least descriped individual condition of the modules.
