By the way, today was Free Comic Book Day.  I would have reminded everyone earlier, but I forgot myself until my son reminded me.  I was still able to snag five decent titles.   8)

We saw Civil War yesterday also (not 3D though), but saw a completely different set of previews:  Star Wars Rogue One, Doctor Strange, Jason Bourne, and one or perhaps two others.  No Tarzan, Independence Day, XMen Apocalypse for us.

I remembered!  I did okay - got a Suicide Squad book and a Captain America, plus two that I don't know much about.
Also picked up the first Scott Pilgrim book.  Always wanted to read those.

Daughter Cooper really scored though, she got a couple of books that she really likes AND got her picture taken with Harley Quinn, whom she thinks is "awesome."  So she was very happy.

Although this reminded me again that someday when she's a bit older we're going to have to have that "talk" about role models.  ...Wherein I try to explain to her that Harley is, well, not very nice.  And in fact a schizophrenic, homicidal sociopath.

I ran into the same dilemma with my daughter.  If I were to throw my two cents in, I would recommend Batman '66 ... different characters, but it's colorful, fun, and light hearted.

Hey, has anyone been in contact with SimperingToad?  I have a pending transaction from his classified post last month but I haven't heard back from him in weeks...

(note:  not complaining, just wondering)

Wow...Captain America: Civil War was amazing!  I don't want to spoil anything in case you haven't seen the trailers...but if you're into Marvel Comics, then I highly recommend this movie.

Now if only Marvel Studios could get back the X-Men license...

Random thought: It's universal law that toast will land butter side down when dropped, and a cat always lands on it's feet. So...
What happens if you strap a piece of buttered toast to a cat's back and drop them?

Exactly.

Also- never try to photocopy a mirror.  You'll get sucked into a temporal vortex and go back in time.

I think this season of Game of Thrones is shaping up to be reliably good. Last season had some strong episodes and some stinkers, but things seem to be coming together well here.  :)

No spoilers! I haven't had time to watch Sunday's episode yet (had to pick up my wife and go to grocery store after work last night).

Daenerys and Tyrion get together, new king and queen of Westeros. BOOM.

So do I.

Short version: I ended up with a case of bronchitis. Getting better, though I still have some congestion and my voice sounds as though I'm going through a second puberty. I haven't been online since I declined to go to the library for Net access in my condition (I have no home access).

I'm not staying long today, but I'll at least take down some notes on the requests, and I'm looking into answering queries and placing photos if needed this weekend.

Greetings all! I was wondering if anyone is in Spain that could take possession of a shipment for me? The seller won't ship out of country. I'd be happy to work out something with you for the assistance.

Thanks!

RIP Muhammad Ali & Gordie Howe
They both threw a mean straight right hand.
Ali, one of the two (along with Joe Louis) greatest heavyweights and three greatest boxers ever (along with Sugar Ray Robinson).
Howe, One of the three greatest Hockey players ever (along with Wayne Gretzky and Bobby Orr).
A further hierarchical ranking would necessitate a lengthier discussion of peak value vs. career value.
