I wonder if it was someone here who won?(unfortunately it most certainly wasn't me :D )Kudos to whoever won the 1st Print. I was in the top 3 and might have bid a bit higher but I could not see the entire condition of the box. The bottom edge appeared to be a little rough. The books, even as a beta print, appeared to be in amazing condition. Well played whoever snagged it.
faro wrote in Interesting Items Currently on eBay:1st Chainmails aren't "normally" found in that condition and certainly not at $1k recently, as far as I recall. $3,200 was definitely on the high side, though, due to that bidding war. Thankfully no fake woodgrain sets... yet.

Thankfully no fake woodgrain sets... yet. hmmm I missed that one.$3,200 for a 1st Chainmail does seem a little high, but certainly not 3 times its value (assuming a nice copy and not trashed)If I did not already own one; I would be willing to plop down $2k for a very fine or better copy of a 1st print chainmail.A BIN at $1k for a VF or better copy would not last the time it would take someone to post the listing here.....

faro wrote in Interesting Items Currently on eBay:As it stands, I'd've expected a nice 1st print of the Bristol rules-set BH was ripped from for that money. Those are rare.(and back on-topic *jk*) I guess the additional brick in the wall might also be part-justification for the CSIO price, but still...
