Well, unlike the rest of the world, I found the new Star Wars movie a disappointment.

So as not to spoil it for others, I'll leave my detailed comments out. I'll just say if you can't see the overlapping parallels between Pocahontas/Avatar, then you'll probably like the Star Wars movie.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows where I can find information on what effect, if any, the release of 5e has had on Pathfinder sales. I don't really keep up with the current RPG scene, and a quick Google search didn't yield the results that I was looking for. I'm also wondering if there are very many 4e holdouts, or if most of the former 4e players have migrated to other systems.

I don't have a link but I remember reading when it was 4e vs Pathfinder, Pathfinder was outselling 4e. When 5e came out, 5e took over again and now outsells Pathfinder. Not terribly surprising since there probably aren't too many new recruits to Pathfinder and those that have been playing have probably bought more than enough material for a lifetime of gaming.

So has anyone written down 'RPG's' when filling out an international shipping manifest and left it at that?

Anecdotally, 5E is kicking PF all over the place, for a lot of the reasons Mars mentioned. Some of the dealers at Gamehole Con sold out of 5E. Also, 5E is a much easier game to learn, so it plays well with the old school crowd (who seem to be drawn to 5E in a big way).

I just got a d&d demon miniature from a seller in the USA and in the shipping manifest attached to the box it says "D&D Idol"

I am in Spain. I wonder what the guys at Customs or whatever thought it was.

Knowing customs, they interpreted it as "death and destruction" and checked to see if it originated from ISIS. I usually put down "figurines".

If you hit a Rowsdower, you get to keep it.

Thanks Frank. Most of the damage is east of here on the other side of Dallas. Really strange to have a tornado (multiple ones) this late in the year....11 dead and massive damage.

Happy New Year!

Anyone have any collecting goals or resolutions for 2016?

Badmike has made it possible for me to complete my White Dwarf 1-100 collection. Next year I hope to finish off the rest of the issues but as these deal only with GW products I am less concerned with completeness. For RPGs there isn't much I'm collecting anymore though I am interested in the new Lone Wolf RPG that was released.

Happy New Year everyone. I hope you all had a nice Xmas too (roasts and wine and mince pies etc etc..).

This year I will be trimming my collection a little, but also probably adding in a few other bits and pieces. Am still hunting for a really nice condition Palladium 1st print (why is this so hard to find, it cannot be rare?) and I think I have some old digest supplements to look for as well on my 2016 list
