If a group of foxes is called a skulk, is a group of skulks called a fox?

This thread needs more cake. Good thing I have some.

Taking a cue from Frank Mentzer, the wife and I decided we should celebrate the birth of HP Lovecraft, in the form of edible cakey Cthulhu... and so, we made this little guy. He was chocolate pound cake with a Bailey's mint chocolate icing.... we are not professionals, so consider that in judgment.

Yes, as we had basically just enough time to bake and ice it, and not sculpt from scratch, we cheated. Had bought the pan earlier, based on a post here on these boards, so that was foresightful.

Maybe more of a Jello mold than a cake?  I wonder what you'd use for floaty bits?

I just can't help marvelling at the former (now reinvented?) store Vahalla games. For the past few months, a lot of the former Valhalla stock has been sold off by a number of Sellers. I have been picking up some of this for token bids i.e. $5, $10 etc.

Valhalla put bright yellow stickers on the contents pages of most of their modules, security stickers in the rear and often stickers highlighting their assessment of the quality on the cover. For example, I just 'de-shrinked' (they re-shrinked all their stuff) a copy of ICE's Future Law. It had a $50 price sticker on the outside of the shrinkwrap (I think I got it for $5). Under the SW is a sticker saying 'Near Mint' - only by our Acaeum assessments with the scuffing it would be VG at best. I took off the 'near mint!' sticker and there is a permanent oil stain. Then inside the Valhalla sticker which can't be removed - a lovely bright yellow blemish on the contents page - and then the usual security sticker in the back, which has put an oil stain right through the last page.

I also picked up a SPI Universe RPG. Re-shrinked, but with considerable box scuffing and some depression of the lid. The sticker under the SW said $89 Mint!!!! Ha Ha Ha. The books inside were well used and the dice were missing.

Far out. No wonder they went broke. Imagine saving up $89 and paying what they were asking. Excitedly you open your package for your NM Universe game .... and and and..... Just about about every customer must have sent their stuff back with angry emails.

Explains quite clearly their lack of sales, lack of repeat customers, and lack of positive feedback.  What idiots.

Vendor stickers wrecking the product.  A tragedy.

It's like the first print Stormbringer RPG box that I got on Ebay.

The guy's wife mailed it for him.

She used packing tape on the box.  :x

If you see him in your local strip joint, leave.  He's like a freakin' trouble magnet in those places.
